- Hosted three workshops to share my transcendental hearing journey with self/society boundaries to 200+ families who are deaf/hard of hearing, providing solutions to educational barriers, motivating and enabling independence, and empowering the next generation of students to start integrating into mainstream. - Traced the mitochondrial DNA through the maternal line with an emphasis on contrasting mitochondrial and chromosomal DNA, acquiring extensive knowledge on genetic testing, analyzing ethnic backgrounds, expanding my geographical and biological understanding of the course of human evolution, and decoding gender-specific appearance of genes. - Researched and presented on the history, culture, and challenges of the DHH community in American society, connecting personal experiences explaining my hearing journey, modeled a cochlear implant and surgery procedures while teaching peers about accessibility, ASL, accommodations, and fostering understanding in my school community.
